GOOD VIBRATIONS FESTIVAL - GOLD COAST
Gold Coast residents must have the strongest eardrums known
to man. As if the one-two punch of the Big Day Out and
Summafieldayze festivals wasn't enough, music
fans had to recover quickly for the
Good Vibrations Festival. Doug Jennings Park
played host to the event for the first time on Sunday,
11 February, 2007. The Good Vibrations Festival began as a
small show in 2004 and has morphed into a national, outdoor
one day party hosting international and local live acts and
DJs.
The unpredictable weather was on a par with the variety of
music on offer, both ranging from scorching hot to chilled.
The festival's four stages hosted a wide range of musical
styles including dance, soul, funk, hip-hop, heavy rock, and
even disco.

flew the flag for local acts, despite not being old enough
to get in the front gates. Fresh from their promotional trip
to New York, the youngsters' hard work has resulted in their
single “Get What You Want” receiving high rotation on Triple
J.

assistance with everything from sore dancing feet to

next year at the Gold Coast? Audience and Beaver member,
Scotty said “Any music festival at the Gold Coast is a good
thing. It brings people into the Gold Coast and makes money
for the Gold Coast”. So another Good Vibrations Festival
here...bring it on!
