One musician who would probably rank
this music festival as one of his favourites is Country
Music musician, Troy Cassar-Daley. “You will love
the Gympie Muster,” Troy says.
Troy
tells how rock musician Jimmy Barnes loves country
music and how he easily persuaded Jimmy to record a duet
with him, Johnny Cash’s record 'Bird On a Wire',
after their first meeting.
“I felt
pretty chuffed to think Jimmy knew who I was let alone
record a song with me. I met Jimmy at The Gympie muster a
few years ago”.
So it was
not a surprise that
Troy
joined Jimmy’s performance at the Muster as a bonus surprise
guest appearance.
